1210g COMPLETE WHEELSET
The ZTR Race 7000 series wheelset is designed with the highest levels of competition and performance in mind. Utilizing the patent pending Bead Socket Technology allows the use of just the yellow tape and valve for a tubeless application using standard, tube-type tires and Stan’s Tire Sealant. The wider and shorter than normal internal rim cavity provides better support for the tire beads reducing the opportunity for air loss under heavy side loads. The wider base formed by spreading the beads further apart also creates a more solid feel when using tires at low pressures allowing you to run lower pressures than ever before. More than just light weight, the ZTR Race 7000 series wheelset is the next step forward in tubeless technology.
ABOUT THE RIM
For the past two years we have been racing a 292 gram rim that looked like the ZTR 355. Race tested for two years including multiple World Cup podiums, wins at the US National Championships, UK National Championships, European Championships, World Championships, Cape Epic, Leadville 100, Commonwealth Games and many more.
Taking lessons learned from other rims currently in the ZTR line a new ZTR Race 7000 series rim was designed. The ZTR Race 7000 series is based on the previous 292g rim but involves several revisions to both the interior and exterior shape. It is important to note that the new design is about more than just saving weight but also the improved performance. The internal width and BST means that rim offers tire stability on par with some 30mm wide rims but in a smaller and lighter package. The design traps air pressure so well that it allows pressures as low as 15 psi to be used when appropriate.
- Rim weight of only 284g making it the lightest production mountain, clincher rim offered
- The biggest feature of this rim is the performance at low pressures. Low sidewall height combined with its extremely wide inside cavity (21.4mm) allows for more tire stability than most 30mm wide rims. This will allow you to run pressures much lower than ever before.

- The ZTR Race 7000 series is a low pressure rim and it must be run at pressures of 15- 33 psi maximum. Higher pressures may cause damage to the rim and will not be covered in the warranty. If you prefer to run high pressures, please consider purchasing a different rim from the ZTR line.
- Designed to work with standard tube-type tires using just the yellow tape and valves for tubeless without burping.
- The ZTR Race 7000 series rim is designed such that standard tires will inflate easy on this rim when setup tubeless. Some tires will mount with a little more difficulty but keep the beads centered in the rim cavity and refer to this video for further detail.
- UST and Tubeless Ready tires may be difficult to mount on this rim.
- Can be used with tubes
WARRANTY/CRASH REPLACEMENT
Limited warranty will cover manufacturer’s defects. The crash replacement will consist of replacing one rim, spokes and nipples for $100.00. If you are not satisfied with the ZTR Race 7000 series rim you can have it replaced with our ZTR 355 rim.
