Courtenay started riding on the road her senior year of college as a way to cross train for running. A couple years later she was introduced to cyclocross and mountain biking and hasn’t looked back since! She currently focuses on cyclocross in the Fall, and joins the gravel and mountain bike fun in the Spring and Summer. Courtenay holds both a BS and MS in Exercise Science from Western Washington University, loves all things related to human physiology, and resides in Bellingham, WA with her husband Chris and cat Nugget.
Ruby started racing at 12 years old. After moving through the disciplines from road and track, she eventually found her place in cyclocross. Since then she has added mountain biking into the rotation, with a heavy focus still on cyclocross. Currently attending Bishop’s University, she is studying Health and Sports Studies, with a minor in Business, which allows her to continue her education while she is also racing. Home for Ruby is a farm in Dundas, Ontario, where she lives with mom and dad and plenty of animals including cats, dog, chickens and cows. Ruby also has an older brother who lives in Vancouver work for work and school. They grew up playing in the trails in their backyard together, a big factor Ruby attributes for her love of the outdoors and racing off road.
Grant Ellwood was born and raised in Boulder, CO where he began riding when he was only a few years old. He began mountain bike racing when he was 11 and started racing cyclocross when he was 18 and has continued racing CX ever since then. Grant recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Astronomy. Aside from cycling, Grant enjoys fishing, watching hockey, dirt jumping and playing games with friends.
